Privacy Policy
Who this policy is from
Estuary Lock & Key Oakland is an independent locksmith shop working out of Oakland, CA, covering Oakland & the inner East Bay. This policy covers estuarylocksmithoakland.com and the calls, texts and job records that come out of it. We are not a franchise, a call centre or a lead broker — the person who answers the phone works for the same shop as the technician who shows up.
What the site asks you for
There is exactly one form here: the instant-estimate quiz. It asks what is locked, where you are, and how to reach you — your name, phone number, the neighbourhood or city, and an email if you choose to add one. Nothing else on the site asks for personal details, and there is no account to create.
Alongside that, our host keeps ordinary server logs, and we record which page the request came from and any campaign tag in the link (the ?utm_ part), so we know whether a job came from search, a map listing or an ad. That attribution is kept with the job, not built into a profile about you.
The phone number on this site
(510) 561-0782 is a tracking line: it rings our dispatch, and the carrier that runs it (Twilio) records the calling number, the time and the length of the call so we can tell which pages generate real work and call you back if the line drops. We do not record the audio of your call.
Booking online
The "Book Online" button hands you over to Nexfield (nexfield.pro), the scheduling system our shop runs on. Whatever you type into that page — name, phone, address, time slot — is handled there under Nexfield's own terms, and comes back to us as a scheduled job. If you would rather not use it, the phone number does the same thing.
Analytics, and why there is no cookie banner
Traffic here is measured with PostHog, running in its cookieless mode: this site sets no cookies at all, which is why you were never asked to dismiss a consent bar. Session recording and automatic click capture are both switched off. Four things are counted — a page being opened, a tap on the phone number, a tap on the booking button, and a quiz submitted — each with the page it happened on.
If you would rather not be counted, block us-assets.i.posthog.com in your browser or any content blocker. The site reads, dials and books exactly the same with the counter blocked. We run no advertising pixels and no retargeting tags.
Calls and texts you will get
Leaving a phone number is consent to be contacted about that job: a callback to confirm the price and the window, a text introducing the technician, and an arrival update. Those are service messages, not marketing — we do not run campaigns to past customers. Carrier rates apply as usual, and STOP in reply ends the texts immediately.
Who else sees your details
Only the outfits needed to get a technician to your door: the phone carrier above, Nexfield for the booking, the dispatch system our shop runs on, and — if you pay by card — the card processor the technician's terminal uses. Each of them handles the data for that job and nothing else.
Your details are never sold, rented, traded or passed to another locksmith, contractor or marketing list. A lead from this site is worked by this shop or it is not worked at all.
How long it is kept, and how to get it deleted
Job records stay while the warranty on that work is live and for as long as tax and lien records must be kept; key and code details tied to a property are kept only while the job is open. Ask us for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to erase it, at info@estuarylocksmithoakland.com — that is a person at the shop, not a ticket queue.
As a California resident you can require us to tell you what we collect, delete it, and confirm we have not sold or shared it, under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA. Same address, or (510) 561-0782. We will not treat you any differently for asking.
Children
This is a service site for property owners, tenants and drivers. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly take personal details from anyone under 13.
If this policy changes
We rewrite this page when the facts change — a new booking system, a different counter, a new way of reaching you — and move the date below when we do. estuarylocksmithoakland.com has no archive of earlier versions; ask and we will tell you what changed.
